10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why
you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
I am going to make a slide share and a powerpoint project. The reason that I am going to do a slide share and powerpoint project is because I think that it might be less hard and less challenging to do, and can be better for the 6th graders to look at and understand.

11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
The requirements for this project would be to Investigate, To Plan, To create, and to Evaluate, and try to make it as fun as possible and not too long. DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

  •    Simple for a 6th grader to understand
  •    Teach a 6th grader what the Design Cycle is
  •    6th graders will be able to identify steps of Design Cycle

  •    Will be less than 2 minutes long
  •    About 5 pages long on Storybook
  •    Not that distracting from the point
  •    Made by Comic Master program online
  •    Possible to transfer onto a pen drive
  •    Be able to use while offline
  •    Possible to save and copy
  •    Must be able to be created in given time
  •    Simple to base off another project
  •    Can not be too difficult to break

12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
The limitations that I have for with this assignment would be like about 1-2 minutes long but just so that the 6th graders don't have to be bored and then fall asleep, but also so that they can get a clue off what each one means and what their function is.

13. How will you "test" your project?
The way that I will test my project is by fixing all the errors that I made and make any revisions if needed. I am also going to go back and check so that I can make a better understanding for the 6th graders to look at, and make it as clear as possible
 Test
I will give them a survey that has 10 questions

about the design cycle.  I can test my product if it

was successful or not by analyzing the students

surveys.  I will be successful if they were able to

answer 7 out of the 10 corrections on their

survey.

INVESTIGATION REFLECTION.

The rating that I would give my self would be a 4 because at first I was so confused and did not know what to do, and my blog didnt let me go in.So my partner helped me to get in to my blog. Then that's when I finally got to finish in a one day peripod, my work.Another reason why I gave mself a 4 is that I finally didn't have to worry about my self catching up, and diddn't have to worry to go after school, because thanks to my typing I was able to finish and to accomplish what I started. The reason I didn't gave me myself a higher number was because I was behind ,and was in the black hole stuck in there and not letting me go into the light. After so much of confusion the black hole was out of my system.

slideshare & powerpoint

the number that I would give for music would be a 10 because in the tools you can choose to change any music that you want. It will also allow you to search up for any song or artist that you wish to find, and listen to that way it can be esier to choose which one your gonna pick or want for the project.

The number that I choose for theme would be a 9 because you have to explain the story firstand then go on with it so it's kind of annoying but at the same time it's fun because you can choose what you want and any color that you would choose for your background.

The number that I choose for creativity is a 10 because you can create whatever you want to make it really colorful, and also be able to choose any page to put behind the words to make it even colorful.

what I choose for music is again a 10 because I love it and it will allow you to search up for any song and music and artist that you would want even to listen and decide whether you really want that song.In music you can get people entertained by the music and get them to dance to it.

what I choose for theme is a 9 because then you have to explain all over again the full story and then choose what theme you want and it will let you choose what you want for your typing.

what I gave for font was a 8 because in font you don't really do anything you just choose how big or how small you would want the words or letters to be clear.

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world?
3. How will this project serve my community?
4. How can my learning help my community?
5. How do we live in relation to each other?
6. How does this help others?
7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
25. How can my learning help my community?
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)

ATTITUDE:
27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
